The countdown is on for the race of the season. The second edition of The Grid race and assault course is promising unique obstacle adventures, increased adrenaline rushes, and more competition!
This year’s participation has doubled; inviting both local and international sports enthusiasts to race their way through numerous arduous obstacles – including 10 Maersk Line containers, against the backdrop of Malta’s northern harbour scenery.
Thomas Smith has been supporting The Grid since its inception, and through its contribution, the Group aims to increase awareness about physical activity and active lifestyle consciousness. Two Thomas Smith employees have taken this event as a personal challenge, and are getting ready to conquer the obstacles.
Last year’s obstacles challenged Liana to intensify her workout regime to get better prepared for this year’s race. Getting to the finish line is what motivates her and she can’t wait to give The Grid a second go. Racing through this assault course isn’t just a personal challenge. Liana found a lot of assistance from other The Grid participants during last year’s edition, and she’s looking forward to reciprocating the help and motivation with new racers making part of this year’s team.
Etienne is getting ready to give this assault race his first shot. Boot camps and power spinning are now incorporated in his training routine, and he’s looking forward to competing within a group context and set new goals for himself.
